The Stapleford Village Christmas Party was a well attended and very jolly event fuelled by Rose Carnegy’s famous ‘special brew’. There was a festive atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the food and chat before settling down for the entertainment. Simon Pratt sang the Hippopotamus song, Mark Elcomb recited Jabberwocky, and Marjoleine Butler read a politically correct poem that was dangerously close to reality as we go into the new ‘woke’ decade.
